“I'm a French artist and designer, born in 1984 near Paris. I have been living and working in Brussels since 2021.
After studying visual arts at the Université Paris 8 and object design at the Arts Décoratifs de Paris and the HFG Karlsruhe, I worked as a designer and artist in Vietnam, France and Belgium.
My initial interest is in matter and its changing states; it's always from there that an idea takes shape.
The material guides me in part. This common thread helps me to structure objects that have their own temporality:
They show matter in motion or frozen, but always reflecting a more or less channeled evolution. In this way, I intend to explore the idea of a precarious, elusive existence.
I often refer to sleep or the larval state to underline an ambivalence between an organization of matter in evolution, present and alive but absent at the same time.
For some years now, I've been concentrating on creating inflatable structures from bladders and intestines, which I transform into leather using a process inspired by ancient practices, notably Inuit.”
